Survivor

wendy and bob coffeyville

This kitty had spent over a week in the oily flood waters before a good samaritan brought him to us.  We bathed him four times and shaved oily matts from his coat.  I gave him subcutaneous fluids several times a day because he was so dehydrated.  Despite his ordeal he had a great appetite and is purring loudly in this photo.

Update:  This cat was adopted by a fellow NDART volunteer and has been named "Kansas" after his home state.
