Operation Noah's Ark-Denver, North Carolina 2008

From September 1-10  2008 Wendy deployed to Denver, North Carolina to help the American Humane Association care for some of the almost 400 animals seized in a large-scale cruelty case.   The animals included almost 200 dogs and over 30 cats, many of which suffered physical ailments such as urine scalding, mange, and digestive problems.  Breeds ranged from chihuahuas to huskies.  A church donated an 82,000 foot warehouse to house the animals and volunteers and donations poured in from the very supportive community.

At this time the owner is in jail pending charges on 9 counts of felony cruelty.  All the animals have been placed in foster homes pending the outcome of the case.
